Every Child Matters Campaign

Campaign Purpose

Each September, Bead The Change holds an annual Every Child Matters fundraiser in honour of Residential School Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home.

This initiative is grounded in remembrance, education, and responsibility. It creates space for individuals and communities to come together in a good way—through learning, reflection, and creation—while supporting Survivors directly. This annual fundraiser is held to:

  • Honour the lives and experiences of Residential School Survivors
  • Acknowledge the ongoing impacts of the residential school system on individuals, families, and communities
  • Support Survivors through direct financial contributions
  • Create opportunities for meaningful engagement and learning

This work is guided by a commitment to truth, remembrance, and carrying forward responsibility in a good way.

September 2026 we raised $1000 for the Survivor Secretariat on Six Nations.

How the Fundraiser Takes Place
